A Federally Recognized Program for Solar Professionals
The Florida Solar Apprenticeship Program is a groundbreaking initiative, developed through a partnership between the Florida Solar Energy Center at the University of Central Florida and FlaSEIA (Florida Solar Energy Industries Association). It is one of the first federally recognized solar apprenticeship programs in the United States.
Here’s what the program offers:
- 296 hours of classroom training, with some online components.
- 4,000 hours of hands-on training, where apprentices gain real-world experience in areas like solar pool heating and solar hot water systems.
This combination of theoretical and practical education ensures graduates are ready to excel in the rapidly growing solar industry.
