You own your property for the simple reason that it makes no sense to rent long term. The same applies to your energy consumption. Why rent energy when you can own energy? It’s a pretty profitable endeavor- just ask Progress Energy, Exxon Mobil, BP, Florida Power, Conoco-Phillips, Chevron, TVA, Excelon…..oh well, you get the idea.
