Superior Solar Donates a Solar Installation to the Edible Education Experience

In a community outreach program, we are proud to announce our role with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Kitchen House and Culinary Garden.

The Kitchen House and Culinary Garden, located in College Park directly across the street from the Orlando Junior Academy’s campus for 5th to 8th graders, teaches kids how to garden and cook healthy, tasty meals. The institute—a partnership program between the Edible Education Experience (EEE), Orlando Junior Academy and Florida Hospital for Children—has just recently opened.

How did Superior Solar get involved?

The building has also been constructed with sustainable elements including solar panels, strategic window placement and other eco-friendly modifications so that not only does it provide a hands-on look at sustainable living, it also acts a green learning model for the students.

We were honored to be the installer for the House’s solar panels and glad to donate our time, energy and efforts to this wonderful cause. As a supplemental system, these PV panels will offset the electrical demands from the outdoor lighting, garden equipment and irrigation systems to work beautifully within the highly energy-efficient property.

The Emeril Lagasse Foundation Kitchen House and Culinary Garden is sure to be a wonderful place for both kids and adults to learn how to sow, grow, harvest and cook their meals. If you’d like to learn more about Superior Solar’s contribution to this community classroom, please call us at 407.331.9077 or contact us online.
