Solar Source Dec 5, 2013
Florida Power and Light (FPL) has allocated all of the funds for solar electric installations for residential and business. They will no longer accept any applications. If there are any unallocated funds after all of the applications are processed they may reopen the process on August 30,2011. Any applications not approved this year can apply for next years rebates in October 2011. Call Superior Solar Systems for details.
FPL is reporting that there is still $3,079,000 available for residential solar hot water heating rebates and $463,172 available for business solar hot water heating rebates. Check for updates on allocation availability for the FPL Solar Rebate Program.
This is the 3rd power company in Florida to offer solar rebates to their business and residential customers. All three have sold out their allocation of rebate dollars, except for this one in the first day. This proves the demand is high for solar energy and with the right incentives people and businesses will eagerly participate. The results of these solar rebates also indicate that more power companies should participate in solar rebates and that those who do could easily allocate more funds to them.
