Central Florida will be participating in the 2010 Solar Tour Guide on Saturday, October 2 from 10 until 4pm. The Solar Tour Guide will open thousands of homes and businesses throughout the United States to demonstrate the benefits of solar power. This gives people the opportunity to see real life solar system applications. The public will be able to ask homeowners and solar businesses about the different systems available and the latest technologies. The tour is put together by the American Solar Energy Society and the event will be held simultaneously in 49 states.

The tour will be especially beneficial to people who are researching solar power for use in their homes or business. There are a variety of different solar systems that will be showcased on the tour. Questions about tax rebates, costs and solar system payback time will be addressed. Solar technology advances and the different solar uses will also be demonstrated during the tour.
