In a survey of 1206 registered voters between September 6 and September 9, Hart Research looked at the public’s perceptions of various forms of energy and its potential impact on politics.

The study also showed that 85% of all voters had a favorable view of solar power ahead of all other forms of power generation
- Solar power 85%
- Wind Power 82%
- Hydropower 76%
- Natural Gas 71%

- Coal 32%
Respondents to the survey also believe that solar power more than any other energy should be getting federal incentives or support.
- Solar Energy 64%
- Wind Power 57%
- Hydropower 38%
- Geothermal Energy 32%
- None 20%
By a 4 to 1 ration voters across political lines want government to support solar energy through tax credits and financial incentives.
While that statistic is pointed to federal policies, local and state politicians should take notice and reconsider their policies, given the strong public support for solar incentives.
The report also showed that a majority of consumers still think that solar power is still too expensive for most consumers. If you are one of those who believe solar is cost prohibitive, you might not be aware of how much the price of solar hardware and materials has come down in the last few years. A modest investment in solar now, will save you substantial amounts in the years to come. Let us demonstrate the pay out on solar. We think you may change your mind!
