Progress Energy Commits $1,000,000 to 2013 SunSense Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Rebate Program

Applications accepted starting at am October 1, 2012

Progress Energy is committing another $1,000,000 in residential rebates for 2014. The Progress Energy Solar PV Rebate Program will be accepting applications beginning October 1, 2012 at 8 am. The rebates will be for up to $20,000 per household for accepted applications. The rebates are offered on a first come first serve basis to those meeting the application criteria. The last application process shut down after two days due to heavy demand (which quickly depleted the rebate allocation).  There will be a backlog of people who did not apply on time or who did not complete the application properly in addition to the natural consumer demand. So, if you are considering adding solar to your home and you are a Progress Energy customer, please start your application process immediately!

The first step to qualifying for the Progress Energy SunSense PV Solar Rebate Program is to have a solar contractor give your house a solar evaluation. Superior Solar Systems will do the solar evaluation at NO CHARGE. Superior Solar will help you every step of the way to make sure the application is done correctly.

The following steps must be completed  to qualify for the SunSense PV rebate;

Get a solar evaluation and quote from Superior Solar Systems or another licensed solar contractor.
Submit application online- ON October 1, 2012 you will need to upload the following documents;
•    solar quote (MB Max.)
•    site survey (MB Max.)
After the application process Progress Energy will notify you as to whether or not your application is accepted.
