Program delayed one week due to technical issues
FPL announced that it was delaying the launch of its $15.5 million dollar solar rebate program that was supposed to begin June 21, 2011. According to the FPL website the new launch date is set for June 29, 2011. Technical issues were cited as the cause for delay.
The program will provide approximately 4500 Florida Power and Light residential and commercial customers to receive rebates on new solar installations. The program is expected to reach capacity the same day the launch takes place. The delay gives FPL customers another week to prepare their applications.
